Driving Safety Tips to Stay Safe – It is better to be Late than Never
1. Basic steps before starting
- Take round of the car to check air pressure in all tyres
- Must wear seat belt
- Adjust your seat, mirrors and climate controls before putting the car in gear.
2. Stay focused for safety driving
- Always keep 100% of your attention on driving only at all times.
- Be alert and be aware of surroundings and expect the unexpected.
- Never dare to use a mobile phone or any other electronic device while driving at any circumstances.
- Avoiding writing text or chatting. It is the most dangerous activity during driving
- Take out the time into your trip schedule to stop for food, to relax and phone calls or other business.
3. Prioritize car safety
- Keep the cargo/luggage tight that may move around while the vehicle is in motion. It can divert you from driving.
- Have important and necessary items within easy reach, such as wallet, toll cards and gate passes.
4. Make the time for driving safety
- Pull over to eat or drink. It takes only a few minutes.
- Practice defensive driving and give yourself time to react. Keep a 2 second cushion between you and the car in front of you − 4 seconds if the weather is bad.
5. Slow down
- Don’t speed when you see something unexpected − it gives you less time to react and increases the severity of an accident.
